A LESSON BY ALAIN CARBONNEAU

A true lesson in the field—first in the vineyard and then in the wine cellar with a final tasting. This was the visit made by a group of students of the University of Montpellier (France) to the Moletto winery last June 27th. The group was guided by professor Alain Carbonneau and accompanying the students were also Professor Giovanni Cargnello of the Università di Enologia of Conegliano and Carlo Favero, director of the Consortium of Lison-Pramaggiore DOC Wines. Alain Carbonneau is someone who needs no introduction. A recognized authority of international renown in the field of Enology, Professor Carbonneau runs the Higher Institute of Viticulture and Enology of Montpellier (SupAgro).
Following the visit to the vineyards and wine cellar, with the lesson conducted by Prof. Carbonneau, the students participated in a tasting of 4 wines selected by wine expert Giovanni Stival.
The"Franconia IGT Veneto Orientale" wine excited much enthusiasm and praise. In the thank you note sent to the Moletto family, Prof. Alain Carbonneau stressed "the tremendous quality and originality of your wines, in particular the Franconia".
