Growing Region: Belfiore di Pramaggiore - Venice Province - Veneto Region
Altitude: 7 m A.M.S.L.
Soil: with a high presence of "caranto" a particularly hard and compact composition of clay and limestone.
Exposure: east/west
Trellis System: spur-trained cordon
Plant Density: 3.500 plants per hectare
Age of vines: 12 years 

Vinification

A month and a half of maceration on the skins, and the end of the alcoholic fermentation, were followed by pressing and malolactic fermentation. The wine was then left to mature in stainless steel tanks for 6 months, and then run off into tonneau (400 litres) and left for 6 years.
 

Tasting notes

Colour: ruby red.
Bouquet: exhilarating the bouquet,  clear the perception of spicy nutmeg, of liquorice, of the harmonious aroma of vanilla and of a slight and elegant scent of leather.
Taste: rich and full-bodied, gives off warm and complex aromas of red fruit: are well-defined cherry and plum. Envelops the slight tannin, a guarantee of  longevity.

Serving suggestions

'Juicy' red meats both roast and grilled, and excellent with mature cheeses. It is also a wine for meditation.
