This year's vintage – a truly splendid one – is now ready.
The vineyards, located in Belfiore di Pramaggiore in the heart of the Lison-Pramaggiore DOC area, were harvested during the fourth week of September 2004.
Vinification
A month-and-a-half after maceration and following fermentation, pressing took place with subsequent malolactic fermentation. The wine was then held in stainless steel tanks for three months and finally transferred to 400-liter tonneau for 5 years.
It was bottled in Spring 2011.
Wine description:
Color: deep, intense red, marked density.
Nose: heady bouquet with marked spicy sensation of nutmeg, licorice, harmoniousness of vanilla and slight elegant hint of leather.
Taste: full- and rich-bodied with a warm, complex aroma of fruit: well-defined those of morel cherry and prune. Slight, enveloping tannicity, guarantee of a long-lasting wine.
Alcohol content: 14.5% by vol.
Perfect with 'juicy' red meats both roast and grilled, and excellent with mature cheeses. It is also a wine for meditation.
