Moletto wines were one of the star attractions at the prestigious 2008 Portogruaro International Music Festival. They were the ideal introduction to the conference held Tuesday, September 2nd in the Council Chambers of Portogruaro City Hall. "Moletto Brut millesimato VSQ 2006" and "Franconia IGT Veneto Orientale 2007" were the two wines offered as a prelude to the event " 'Ebbro furia, rosso d’inferno', discesa agli Inferi con Paul Hindemith".
On stage was the Philharmonic Society of Portogruaro conducted by Enrico Bronzi with Silvia Mazzon, violin, and Roberta Voltolina's Arteblu Dance Company. The evening’s speaker was Quirino Principe, academician from Santa Cecilia in Rome and curator of the Italian edition of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings.
The "Moletto Brut millesimato 2006"—refined, sincere with fruity overtones and balanced on the palate—and the "Franconia IGT Veneto Orientale 2007"—characteristic hints of red, spicy fruit with a full, frank and rounded taste— offered a fine interpretation for the spirit of the evening, stimulating listeners to further appreciate Hindemith’s extraordinary work.
