Top honors for Moletto wines at "Enoconegliano", the 10th regional wine competition for Veneto region wines, which was  held  in  the  city  of  Conegliano this past July. The ta-stings were performed by the Associazione Enologi Enotecnici Italiani. The competition was authorized  by  the  Italian Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry to confer awards.
Participating were 123 wineries from the Veneto region, for a total of 389 wines in competition. In the category, "IGT still red wines from 2004 or earlier", award winners were: Colmello Rosso 2001 IGT Veneto Orientale which won the first prize of the coveted "Dama d’oro" (Gold medal); the Colmello Rosso Edizione Speciale 2000 IGT Veneto Orientale received the "Sigillo d'Argento" (Silver medal), as second prize winner; and the Cabernet Sauvignon "Selecti" 2003 IGT Veneto Orientale received the "Sigillo di Bronzo" (Bronze medal), as third prize winner. And, finally, "Diploma of Merit" for the Prosecco Frizzante 2007 IGT Marca Trevigiana and Raboso Piave 2003 DOC.
All these Moletto wines will take part in the exposition/tasting hold as part of the picturesque "Festa dell'Uva" during the weekend of September 27-28th.
The awards ceremony will hold Saturday, September 27th in the prestigious setting of the ex Convento S. Francesco.
