DIAMOND TROPHY AWARD CEREMONY TO MOLETTO SPUMANTE BIANCO EXTRA DRY
It was held on May 24, 2021 at the headquarters of Yaoko in Japan, the official ceremony of presentation of the Diamond Trophy awarded by the Sakura Award - Japan Women’s Wine Awards, to Moletto Sparkling White Extra Dry.
It was Mrs Yumi Tanabe, the president of the competition - whose selection board is made up of only professional women in wine - who handed over the coveted prize to Mr Sumito Kawano, President of Yaoko.
The ceremony was held in the presence of Mr. Masao Kobayashi, President of Ogawa Trading, Ogawa Group trade representatives and Sakura Award marketing manager Mrs Tomoyo Tanabe.
Mrs Tanabe pointed out how different the approach of tasting is between men and women.
Emphasizing that if men are conquered by a wine at the first sip, the female approach does not stop at the first impression but women examine the pleasantness characteristics of a wine during a more 'thoughtful' tasting.
Regarding Moletto Spumante Bianco Extra Dry, Mrs. Tanabe said: "This Spumante Bianco is perfect for the summer season, so I invite you to enjoy it in combination with your meals"
Moletto was also awarded with two gold medals assigned to Moletto Spumante Rosé and Moletto Prosecco Doc Treviso Extra Dry.
The awarded wines and the Diamond Trophy are displayed since May 25th at the wine corner dedicated to the Sakura Award at the new YAOKO Fuchu Foris Store in Tokyo.
